Water for the tribe The day dawned like most others preceding it, dry and dusty. The sun shone palely down on the shattered stone surrounding the house. Fused rock glittered harshly with spots of glass, almost like the ancient hard-stone necklace her mother had given her years before. A little part of the past... It was oddly silent after the yowls of the wind the previous night. The day should be clearer than this, considering that the storm had dumped about a lake’s worth of water onto the mountain.
